In other news: I have created a Patreon page!
For anyone who doesn’t know by now, Patreon is a service that allows you to support creators financially over time by pledging a certain amount of money per thing
(episode, chapter, video, etc.) they do, or per month. (I’ve got it set to per chapter, but if you want, you can still put a maximum limit on how much you’ll be giving per month.)
So if you decide you want to support me in return for the hours I put into this project each session, this is how you can do that!
Please note, though, that I’m not one of those creators who need patrons to pay for food and other necessities. I don’t want there to be any form of pressure to become a patron of mine – this is just an option that exists now for anyone who decides for whatever reason that they want to. I’ll be thankful to anyone who does, though. 🙂
Patreon is known in part for its reward tiers, where pledging a certain amount of money gives you access to exclusive, usually ongoing rewards. I don’t currently have any rewards set up, for lack of ideas, but I’m open to suggestions. Note that I do not want to put any liveblog content behind paywalls, though – liveblog posts will never be patron-exclusive.
Furthermore, Wildbow also has a Patreon, which I’ll be pledging to (apparently the overview is spoilery due to a short summary of Ward, but I should be able to avoid reading that without too much trouble). I was already thinking I should get onto supporting Wildbow directly somehow, and now that I’m starting up a Patreon myself, I’m definitely going to. It just doesn’t feel right to make money off of what I do without giving some to Wildbow.
So… yeah! This is a thing now! Feel free to let me know what you think about it, or suggest potential rewards, in the asks. 🙂
And to anyone who pledges – thank you!
