So that means you’ve been using that horrifying Rose-Cal icon for over a year…

Not quite.

Discord updates icons and nicknames retroactively, and those screenshots were taken in late November. I’m glad I did that, because 2.5 weeks later, the server was cleared by a hacked bot (some of you may remember that I postponed a liveblog session because I was busy fixing this), meaning those messages no longer exist and I wouldn’t have been able to search them up now like I did in November.

Anyway, the image you’re talking about, Rose Caltz, was created in the beginning of March 2017, so we’ve still got a couple months to go for its anniversary.

Incidentally, I decided not to switch my Discord icon back to Rose Caltz for the time being (though it remains my personal Tumblr blog’s icon), which has led to a bit of a crisis of color on the servers where my name before Christmas was “King Krix the Pink”:

“Everyone here?”

Dinah shook her head, her hair flying out to either side.  “Everyone.  I don’t understand.  Can’t explain.”

Sheesh. Everyone’s a lot of people.

“Try,” he urged her.

“Sometimes it’s in two years.  Sometimes it’s in eight.  Sometimes in between.  But if he’s alive, something happens, and everyone on Earth starts to die.

Holy shit.

Does that have something to do with Karahindiba and its kin, and the granting of Jack’s power? Because beings like Karahindiba seem like the one thing that would have this kind of power. But Karahindiba seemed benevolent and what the fuck does any of it have to do with Jack?

Well. Jacks gonna Jack, I guess, and surprisingly often that involves the end of the world.

Not that everyone doesn’t die anyways but they die really fast when that something happens, all one after another, and in a year almost everyone is dead.  So I said everyone, if that makes sense and a few live but they die pretty soon after anyways and-“

Sheesh, it’s a proper apocalypse scenario, complete with a few postapocalyptic survivors.

Does Jack trigger a nuclear war or something? Or, worse, a Tinkertech war?

…how did the cold war end in this universe when both sides got a new sort of weapon to play with in the last decade of the real world version?

SkitterPan = Skitter + Panacea

Ahh, I see. I’m not inclined to ship that in the traditional sense (though I’m sure there’s plenty of Enemies (to Friends) to Lovers of them out there), but add a touch of Homestuck to it and there’s a pretty solid potential for a kismesissitude there.

For the non-Homestucks among you, that essentially means romantic rivalry, hate romance, though a healthy kismesissitude also requires an element of appreciation – even when a relationship is founded on mutual disgust, there’s gotta be something to make them enjoy it enough to pursue it. Also, if this weren’t the case, many kismeses would just end up killing each other.

Skitterpan is Skitter/Panacea, a common ship in various fics where Taylor becomes a hero. Skitter/Weld has been done, but I don’t know if it has a name.

Ah, yeah, I suppose flushed Skitterpan works a lot better in hero!Taylor AUs.

While awaiting trial, Armmaster spends some of his time reading Homestuck, after remembering that Miss Militia recommended it to him a while back.

He finds himself relating quite a bit to Vriska Serket, a morally ambiguous character who, largely due to her desire to be important and draw attention, tries to set things up so she gets to be the one to kill the bad guy. (And also loses an arm at one point.)

Headcanon: Besides her Homestuck shipping charts, Director Piggot also keeps shipping charts involving the Wards and Protectorate (separately, of course). Unlike her more personal and more deeply hidden Homestuck charts, though, the PRT shipping charts are based entirely on which relationships make for better PR, and thus largely match the hero fandom’s most popular ships.

It has not occurred to Piggot that Dragon has full access to all files in the overall system, including those that are normally only accessible to the specific users. Dragon is fully aware of Piggot’s secret Homestuck shipping and disagrees vehemently with most of her ships.

Dragon’s OTP is Terezi ❤ Sollux.

Some looked like code, much looked like random numbers, letters and symbols, even hearts, spades and smiley faces.  Some of the snippets of code appeared to be file names.

Hearts, spades… we found Piggot’s Homestuck shipping charts. Smiley faces are for platonic friend ships. (No, I don’t mean moirallegiance, that’s not platonic.)

“This should be every document the PRT has on file for their teams, barring the most secure documents, which wouldn’t be kept accessible, even in this isolated network.”  She handed me a pad of gauze from her belt.

Excellent. So what do we need this information for? Future encounters? Is this for Taylor’s plan, or does Coil want this? Coil is helping them with this mission, and he probably has lots of use for this.

“How long?” I asked.  I snapped the feathered end off the crossbow bolt, then pushed it out the other side.  The arrowhead wouldn’t take to being pulled out backward.

“Two minutes.”

To copy/transfer, I guess. Better hope you can stay safe here for that long.

“But we may have to wait up to ten, depending on when Clockblocker’s power wears off.”  While I talked, I held the gauze to her shoulder with one hand and took the offered tape with the other.

Right, though shouldn’t that cap be a little lower now?

There was a rip in her costume, and I opted to tear it a little wider and put the gauze beneath before taping it on, to let the skintight fabric hold it firm.

Sounds reasonable.
