I’d gotten so used to you liveblogging on American time, it’s weird now that your schedule actually matches your timezone 😀

Hehe, yeah – my blogging schedule and even, for the most part, my sleep schedule are approaching normalcy. It’s freaky! 😮

However, it may be approaching more normalcy than you’ll like. In about three weeks, maybe before, my free time per day will probably be cut down significantly, though I don’t know by how much yet. Assuming things work out, I’ll be starting work practice at a local store (like, really local, as in “ten minutes of walking from my home” local).

I should still have time left for blogging most days, but it may result in me blogging slightly less frequently due to being tired from work and/or still wanting some free time to spend on other things.

Additional updatery

This medicine has been working a lot harder, better, faster, stronger than I was expecting. I’m still coughing a lot (and hard) and somewhat feverish from time to time, but throughout today I have been feeling much better than I have the last two days. If this keeps up I might be back to blogging over the course of the next few days!

Sickness update

I’ve been mostly lying in bed for the last two days. Coughing hard, having headaches and fevers, that kind of thing. It hasn’t been very pleasant.

Today I went to the doctors, and they concluded it was most likely pneumonia. I was prescribed some antibiotic medicine that I’ll start taking tomorrow, to help my body get through this faster. Without the medicine, the expected timeframe for me to get over this naturally would be 2-3 weeks. While I don’t know how much shorter the medicine makes it, it should at least be shorter.

So yeah…

So here’s a thing I did

I’ve just finished translating Insinuation 2.9 to Norwegian, all the way to the wham line:

I’m not going to publish it, because that feels like too much of a breach of copyright to do without Wildbow’s express permission, but it’s a thing I feel I should mention that I did.

As for why? Krixwell life update time! I have quit my web studies (just didn’t work out for me) and am now looking for a job instead, and translator is a tempting option. I figured I should try it out on a non-commercial basis before making any decisions, and a past Worm chapter simply seemed like a natural first subject. I picked 2.9 specifically because of the wham line it ends with.

Some stats:
It took me about three hours total over two sessions, and the document ended up at 10557 characters including spaces. According to standard translator rates in Norway (205.12 kroner per thousand characters), I’d earn 2165 kr ($266) for the entire chapter, for an hourly rate of about 722 kr ($88.72)… Maybe I’m missing something about how the rates work, because everywhere I look, people are saying this is a poorly-paid profession.
