I’m sorry, but I think I’m going to call off today’s (Wednesday’s) liveblog. My sleep schedule wrecked itself somehow, and I’m now operating on a lower-than-usual amount of sleep. So (while I’m not going back to sleep) I think I’ll do something that requires less awakeness than this.
The next liveblog will then have to be Saturday or Sunday instead, as I’m going out of town starting tomorrow to attend my grandmother’s funeral. I’ll be answering asks if I get them, but actual liveblogging will have to wait until the weekend.

As of this writing, I’ve just (about an hour ago, I think) come back from the funeral to the place we’re staying. It… did hit a bit harder than I expected, but not nearly as hard as it did for some of my other family members.
Don’t worry… Just sleeeeeeeppppp… Sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep…

I did manage to sleep at a reasonable hour last night… Hopefully that continues when I get back home. 🙂
By the way, I’m very happy I went to the hypnotist before this funeral. Let’s just say Taylor would have lots of ammo down here, both by the church and where we’re staying.
The whole “most of the fandom considers Taylor to be bi” thing feels like a pretty big stretch. Maybe that’s true of the fanfiction community specifically, but I wouldn’t say it’s true of the readership as a whole. As far as I’ve seen, the majority of the readers seem to read Taylor as straight, as wildbow intended.
Fair enough!
Also, in case it wasn’t clear, wildbow’s comments were made specifically in reference to *Taylor* being straight, not in reference to including LGBT characters in general. I hope that this is non-specific enough to not count as a spoiler, but you can rest assured that Worm certainly has a number of LGBT characters (to be clear, I’m not intending to imply anything as to whether these are characters that have appeared yet or not). Taylor just isn’t one of them.
Nice. It will be interesting to see how Wildbow handles those characters – I have a fair bit of trust that he’ll do it well, and his reluctance to write Taylor as bi in part because he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to do it properly does show that he cares.
Granted, I’m going to be a bit careful about saying how well or badly he does it, considering I myself am not LGBT (or at least, not within those four letters of the alphabet soup). I’ll comment on it, sure, but I have to keep in mind that I’m doing so from an outsider perspective.
