I’d missed that Chains had flat out said Cio had stolen that, but I suspected she was the thief when she changed the subject and hustled Allison out of there the minute the theft ‘by a ruthless ebon’ came up. It was like “You are very eager for Allison not to hear this.” I wonder if her demotion was punishment for the theft, somehow?

I don’t think that’s why she found it to be time to leave, though… Sweetie Pie and Honey Bunch were approaching, ready to start trouble.

That was actually the last chapter of Worm. The “Next Chapter” link is a rickroll. So, any final thoughts on the serial as a whole?

Well, the first word that comes to mind is “love”. I’m sure you’re no strangers to having that feeling about the story, so I won’t bore you with the details.

You know the rules of storytelling — as do I — and Worm is a story that knows how to follow them and when to break them. It stays fully committed to its solid themes throughout, something you wouldn’t get from just any other story.

As the story comes to a close with this rather abrupt ending, I just wanna tell you how I’m feeling. Liveblogging Worm has been lots of fun over these past two and a half years, and I’m very thankful to Wildbow for writing such an excellent work and to you guys for following me on this adventure. But I have to make you understand this: It’s not over yet!

I wouldn’t give up on you guys that easily, nor would I let you down by not moving on to Glow-Worm and Ward. I wouldn’t run around and desert you in favor of other fandoms just because I finished Worm. I don’t know if any of you are so attached to this blog that it’d make you cry if I did, but nonetheless, I’m not saying goodbye. And that’s the honest truth — I wouldn’t want to hurt you all by lying.
