Turkish Wikipedia suggests that Karahindiba means Dandelion. Tesseractids is a lame name; you should call them Dandelions!

Yeah, that meaning is how the name Karahindiba came up in the first place. Hana didn’t explicitly name it, she just compared it to a dandelion in the way the pieces of it, the “seeds”, were scattering to the winds. The way her narration mentioned the Turkish word for it made it natural to pick that up as a name for that being, or possibly all of them (I chose to use it for the individual).

“Dandelions” is a rather elegant name for the species. They do seem to be flaking off whenever they move even when they’re not dying, too.

I’m not sure if I want to adopt it for all of them, though – I’ll have to think about it.

Skidmark can’t make the Rainbow Road, but his power is literally Boost Pads.

Huh, yeah, I suppose that’s a good way to put it.

Maybe with some creative use of Taylor’s power, we could have some crabs pretending to be red shells.

The screener blog link on krix’s tumblr still links to the old screener blog. The ask away button works fine. Just thought you should know

This confused me a bit until I realized you were talking about the link in the blog description, which I had completely forgotten about. Should be fixed now. Thanks!

It’s a common mistake among fans that Skidmark has a bottom-tier power. The truth is that he has a great power and he’s just a bottom-tier human being. According to WOG, Skidmark would be extremely helpful in an Endbringer fight – he just didn’t bother to participate because he’s a selfish coward.

Sounds about right. Layer a bunch of those skidmarks on top of each other and side by side, and we’ve got an excellent barrier keeping Leviathan out and speeding up outward projectiles.

Tons of lives could’ve been saved.

But hey, worked out nicely for Skidmark, didn’t it?

Really cool art by SeeYou_Blue, submitted by @seeyouintheblue (hmmm)! This is a very interesting artstyle! I love the simple yet effective use of only one non-black color per character to make them recognizable by the outlines of their costume’s most distinct design elements. 🙂 I also like how Coil’s costume design makes it look like […]

Taylor is like ‘BOW TO THE MIGHTY LADY OF THE NIGHT PEASANTS’

Ahaha!

I guess it was too much to hope that you guys wouldn’t end up finding Com’c, huh? Fair enough… Just know that these days I relate a lot more to Block than to my supposed author avatar. 😛

“Let’s not underestimate the bug power.” Congratulations, you have just summarized Worm in six words.

Hah, yeah!

And to think, one of the first thing I did on this blog was underestimate the bug power. In Gestation 1.3, I was pretty damn certain she didn’t stand a chance against Lung without her plot armor.

I guess I was kind of right about that. If not for *PLOT*, she would’ve been in a lot of trouble at the end, but she did hold up a lot better than I expected at the start of the fight.

How do you think Taylor would react if her father will be injured (or even worse…) by someone? Try to imagine what would happen.

Oh, I’ve been imagining that for about four or five Arcs now.

She would not take that well. Maybe that’s what would make her boil over – we’ve been repeatedly reminded of the potential for her to lose control over her power if too upset, especially in the form of rage, and I imagine anyone killing Danny would really set her raging side off.

Sheesh, maybe that’s how the Undersiders end up fighting the Slaughterhouse, even. I sure hope not, but I can’t rule it out.

At least with Taylor and Danny’s run-in in 11.1, some of the angst is alleviated – if he got killed now, at least his and Taylor’s last interaction wouldn’t have been, well, 6.9.
