Ooh, this is a very interesting analysis. I think you’re absolutely right – with this reading, the deviation of this Arc from the structure we’ve gotten used to (I got so used to the structure that I started treating some of it like it was almost as guaranteed as the Interludes between Arcs – take a look at my use of the phrase “combat section”, for instance, or my assumption that 7.11 would be the last chapter) becomes a masterful artistic touch to highlight the difference between – to paraphrase you – treating this as an escape from her life and treating it as her life.
It’s gonna be very interesting to see how whatever Taylor decides to do next affects the structure of the Arcs.
